This was the village's assembly centre from the time it was built in the early 1950s until the church was completed in 1989. The prayer centre was used for weddings, funerals, Laestadian gatherings and other activities. Varanger Brygge bought the house from the Laestadian congregation in the spring of 2021 and completely renovated the building so that it appears as a modern detached house inside, while the exterior appears almost identical to the year of construction.
